The 46th Florence Nightingale Medal Award Selection

The Florence Nightingale Medal was instituted by the ICRC in memory of the great and distinguished services of Florence Nightingale for the improvement of the care of wounded and sick. It is the highest international distinction that can be awarded to nurses or nursing aides.

The Medal shall be awarded by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on proposals made by the National Societies from different countries. In 2005, we have the first nurse from Hong Kong awarding this Medal. There are two nurses in Hong Kong awarded this Medal to date.
