To echo Strategic Aim 3 of the HKRC Corporate Strategic Plan 2023-2028 - “Promote Social Cohesion and Inclusion ", HKRC will be hosting the "Inclusive Development Platform – Revitalizing Career Growth and Empowering Talent as One" event in August. The content includes a marketplace, exhibition, workshops and booths. The aim is to promote the importance of social cohesion and inclusion. You are welcome to join and work together to drive the development of a more inclusive and caring society. 

Opening Ceremony cum Sharing Forum

The HKRC is honored to invite Ms. Lam Mei Sau, Linda, SBS., the Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Commission, to be the guest of honor of the Opening Ceremony of the event and deliver the opening remarks and the keynote speech.  Mr. Donny K M Siu, the Chairperson of Social Cohesion and Inclusion Strategic Committee of the HKRC, will introduce our organization's social inclusion policies and advocacy measures.  Furthermore, representative from the Selective Placement Division of the Labour Department and MTR Corporation Limited, Mr. Ching Chi Kong, Director of the Mental Health Association of Hong Kong and Ms. Christy Ng, Head of Special Education and Rehabilitation Service have been invited to discuss the theme “Inclusive Development Platform – Revitalizing Career Growth and Empowering Talent as One”. They will explore how to establish an inclusive workplace and enable persons with disabilities to unleash their talents and invite beneficiaries of the services are invited to share their experiences.

Marketplace and Exhibition (No registration is required)

The marketplace has invited multiple social welfare organizations and social enterprises to participate together. They will showcase handicrafts or handmade gifts designed by persons with disabilities, available to purchase. In addition, the event will feature an exhibition introducing the HKRC’s Social Inclusion Policy, as well as the work experiences and personal journeys of persons with disabilities in the workplace.

Workshop & Free Game Booth

There will be a variety of different types of workshops, where participants can interact with disabled instructors, simultaneously experience and create various interesting crafts, and create handmade items themselves. Additionally, there will also be STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) themed parent-child workshops for participants to learn about humanitarian work. Furthermore, there will be game booths where participants can learn about about the concept of inclusion and the underlying humanitarian values.

The first 100 participants who successfully completed the payment and registered for any workshop will receive a free gift and can enjoy member discount on the event days upon purchase in Red Cross Shop.
