Hong Kong Red Cross Journey Together: Psychosocial Support Training for People Working with Youth
What is Journey Together?
With ongoing social situation and the outbreak of Covid-19, many teenagers may feel nervous and anxious. Without proper and timely psychological intervention, the situation may be worsened and more emotional problems may be aroused. As a youth worker, will you occasionally feel powerless, not knowing where to start, or not knowing what to do to get through this difficult time with them?
Journey Together: Psychosocial Support Training for People Working with Youth is a 3-hour training session conducted by clinical psychologist from Hong Kong Red Cross, with an aim to improve the youth workers’ awareness and ability to support adolescents’ mental health. We will also provide participants with 3-hour teaching kit composed of wide ranges of interactive games, videos and activities, which enables participants to interact with the youth in a more vivid and interesting way, and learn how to understand their own emotions, care about themselves, detect emotional illness and seek assistance in due course.
Target
Youth workers from all sectors (Schools, NGOs, youth centres, religious groups, anyone in contact with youth at work, no professional background required.)
Journey Together - Course content
The course is taught by clinical psychologist from the Hong Kong Red Cross and completely free of charge. Any youth workers (no professional background required) are welcome to sign up.
*Certificate and 3-hour interactive teaching kit will be issued upon completion of the course and evaluation questionnaires after class*
