Once you join our Monthly Donatin Program, you will become our "Friends of Red Cross"! Your generous support will be used to support our services. For example,

HK$150 can support us to visit and care a single-living elderly for 1 month
HK$320 can provide an economic-difficult patient with wheelchair for 4 months
HK$500 can support a blood test of a bone marrow donor for saving patients with blood disease

Regular Donors' Recruitment Ambassadors

A team of Regular Donor's Recruitment Ambassadors was set up in May 2006. They visit different parts of the Hong Kong, including public streets, shopping malls, bridges, MTR exit and blood donor centres, etc. They introduce the services of the Hong Kong Red Cross and invite the public to register as our monthly donors on site.

We sincerely urge for your support and join our monthly donation campaign and be our "Friends of Red Cross", when you see our Regular Donors' Recruitment Ambassadors on the street!

Starting from 23rd May, 2009, donors will receive the "Friends of Red Cross" Introductory Brochure (Year 2009/10) and pin of "Friends of Red Cross" when you sign up the HKRC monthly donation form on the street.

The personal data collected from donors will be treated as strictly confidential. We have followed the below procedures to protect your personal information, including:

  • All regular donor's recruitment ambassadors are directly employed by HKRC. When they attend duties, they wear HKRC staff uniforms and have a staff card with their name, staff number and photo.
  • All of the staffs should strictly follow the working guideline and Declaration of Secrecy of HKRC.
  • The completed donation form, which obtains your personal information, will submit to the supervisor of the day, and then deliver to HKRC headquarters for follow up actions.
  • Donors will receive the confirmation from HKRC within two weeks.

F2F Monthly Giving Alliance

 

Hong Kong Red Cross has set up a team of Regular Donor's Recruitment Ambassadors in May 2006. They visit different parts of the Hong Kong and invite the public to register as our monthly donors on site. Their continuous donation enables us to better plan for long-term development and provide stable services to the people in need.

In Feb 2012, HKRC formed the Face-to-Face Monthly Giving Alliance with 18 charitable organizations, hoping to strengthen the accountability and standard of current face-to-face monthly donor's recruitment by launching the Code of Practice and self-regulation, and provide sufficient information for public to choose their desired charities. We promise:

  • To provide information of monthly donor's recruitment activities to public through different channels
  • To ensure no public disturbance is created
  • To ensure our regular donor's recruitment ambassadors comply with the Code
