Thanks to the efforts of over 2,400 volunteers and generous support from the general public, we have raised a total donation of over HK$1,700,000. Let’s give our heartfelt thanks to all of those who have donated or taken part in this event again. We will make good use of the kind donation to serve the vulnerable with our every endeavor.

We sincerely hope to gain your support and appreciate each single dollar of yours as when it accumulates, we can render care and help to those in need in our community, including but not least:

  HK$150 can support us to visit and care a single-living elderly for 1 month
    HK$320 can provide aneconomic-difficult patient with wheelchair for 4 months
      HK$500 can support a blood test of a bone marrow donor for saving patients with blood disease

Since her husband passed away, Madam Leung lived alone and turned sick. The doctor confirmed that Madam Leung suffered from depression. Hong Kong Red Cross sent out volunteers to visit Madam Leung every two weeks. Besides chatting with Leung, they check Leung’s body temperature and blood pressure. They also do stretching exercise together. After three years of regular visits, Madam Leung started to open herself and now expresses, "I enjoy going to some community activities, like Tai Chi club and calligraphy class. I have also made some new friends and we would go to the peak and the flower show together. My life is full of joy now."

Your donation enables us to sustain our humanitarian services including the care of vulnerable elders and providing them with different kinds of services e.g. general health check and teaching them home safety knowledge. We intend to give our elderly the happy later years they deserve without the fear of isolation and neglect.
